If there is obvious slack, the water pump bearing should be replaced.If the pump bearing has abnormal sound, but there is no obvious loosening when the pulley is pulled by hand, it may be caused by poor lubrication of the pump bearing, and grease should be added from the grease nozzle.

Water seal and seat repair: water seal such as wear groove, abrasive cloth can be ground, such as wear should be replaced; Water seals with rough scratches can be repaired with a flat reamer or on a lathe. New water seal assembly should be replaced during overhaul. Welding repair is allowed when the pump body has the following damage: the length is less than 30mm, and the crack does not extend to the bearing seat hole; The joint edge with the cylinder head is broken part; The oil seal seat hole is damaged. The bending of the pump shaft shall not exceed 0.05mm, otherwise it shall be replaced. Damaged impeller blade should be replaced. Pump shaft aperture wear should be replaced or set repair. Check whether the pump bearing rotates flexibly or has abnormal sound. If there is any problem with the bearing, it should be replaced.
